Question by extremedges: Water dragons together?!?!?!?
I read that two males will fight to the death...we have two chinese water dragons that are males!!!! They are a month from being a year old...they were ALWAYS together in same cage in petstore(had eye on the two for a long time) and every now and then there were a couple more dragons added together....these two get along EXTREMELY well....being a year old already and have not shown any aggession towards eachother at all...they could have made a mistake on the sexing of them but they were sure that they were two males(bros even)...They are the same size and color ect. Both love to be held, they jump onto my hand when I put it in cage...crawl and lay on eachother...they sleeping side by side now....
i just don't want to wake up with one dead.... could there be a very rare possibility that they will continue to get along??
I care about pets very much and just want them to be happy and not get hurt or end up dead...

if they are brothers or nest mates or whatever, then I believe they should get along. HOWEVER, there are things you need to avoid in the future if you want to keep it that way. You should stop adding more dragons to their cage, because now that they are maturing, they will become extremely protective of their territory and will probably kill them.

Also, do NOT introduce them to a female together. They will turn on each other for her attention, and kill each other.

start feeding them on seperate sides of their cage. Food can starts fights among ANY lizard. But if you feed them on seperate sides, they wont be able to focaus on each other and who's getting who's food.

best of luck! and as you moniter them, if either shows ANY signs of aggressive behavior towards the other, then it's time to consider seperating them.
