Males normally don't mature until they are older, but since there is no female in the cage then they won't have any competition with each other. I have a male and a female water dragon, and the female is actually much more aggressive than my male has ever been. In fact she attacked and broke my males tail. I moved them to a very large cage and she has stopped her attacks. So if they do start having an issue with each other, then building a big cage where they can get away from each other may be the only solution.
